The Firm's focus is criminal, immigration, and appellate litigation. The Firm also provides counseling to criminal-defense attorneys about the immigration consequences of criminal conviction, as well as counseling to individuals who are a target of a criminal investigation. The Firm works to solve client’s problems, whether the solution is in litigation, negotiated settlement, or elsewhere.

The Firm represents clients before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Several of Mr. Rocha’s appellate cases are published opinions and has had several cases remanded to the lower courts. In United States v. Aguilar-Reyes, for instance, the Ninth Circuit held that Arizona’s definition of “alien smuggling” was overbroad when compared to the federal government’s definition of “alien smuggling.” The Ninth Circuit’s decision has benefited scores of noncitizens by limiting the reach this offense has on a noncitizen’s immigration and criminal-sentencing case.
